How trading gems here works.

01

How trading gems here works

Both directions run through the same form above. Gems are quoted per thousand, because a single gem is worth a small fraction of a cent and a per-gem price tells nobody anything useful. Put in how many you want to move and the total is worked out before you commit to anything.

Selling to us, gems travel as Sacks of Gems, which is the tradable form: a sack holds a thousand gems and is what actually moves in a Steam trade offer. You send them as an ordinary trade offer and we pay in USDT or USDC to a wallet you control, once the offer is accepted.

Buying from us, you pay in stablecoin and the sacks arrive in your Steam inventory as a trade offer. Unpack them in Steam whenever you want them as loose gems.

02

Where gems come from, and what they are for

Gems are what Steam gives you for grinding down things you do not want: emoticons, profile backgrounds, and whole booster packs all turn into gems. That is why people end up with large piles of them without ever meaning to.

They are worth having because they buy booster packs, which is the usual route to trading cards and badges without paying market price per card. They are also the currency for some Steam community market items. What they will not do is turn into Steam Wallet funds, which is the reason people look for somewhere to sell them.

03

Before your first trade

You need a Steam account that can trade: no trade ban, no recent password reset, and Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator enabled for at least seven days. Without it Steam puts a fifteen-day hold on everything, which is Valve's rule rather than ours.

You also need your Steam trade URL so our bots know where to send the offer. We never ask for a password, and nothing here needs access to your account beyond the ordinary trade offer you accept yourself.

Questions about trading gems here.

Is there a minimum number of gems?

Gems move in Sacks of Gems, so the practical minimum is one sack, which is a thousand gems. The form quotes per thousand for the same reason.

Do I need to bag my gems into sacks first?

Yes, if you are selling. Loose gems are not tradable: Steam only moves them as Sacks of Gems. Bagging is done in your Steam inventory and takes a moment.

What happens if I do not accept the trade offer in time?

Steam expires it and nothing moves. If you had already paid, the order stays open and the offer can be resent. Nothing settles on our side until the goods have actually moved.

Why not just sell gems on the Steam Community Market?

You can, and the price there is often higher on paper. The catch is that Steam pays you in Steam Wallet funds, which can only ever be spent on Steam, and takes a cut on the way. Selling here pays in crypto you can spend anywhere, which is the whole reason the option exists.

Which networks do you pay out on?

USDT or USDC on BNB Smart Chain or Polygon, whichever you pick. The coins go to the address you give us, not to a balance held here.
